Biography
James Kuykendall was born in Pisgah, AL in December of 1979. He currently resides in Scottsboro, AL. He began playing piano at the age of 3 and played regularly at church throughout his young life. He holds a degree in Music from Northeast Alabama Community College where he also served as Vocal Director for the college theatre department from 2006-2019. He studied piano and vocal performance at UAH. He is currently the organist and Director of Music for St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Scottsboro, AL.
Teaching
James has never been one to crave the limelight. He prefers, instead, to teach music to others and help them reach their goals. James has been teaching music for 20+ years and can't imagine a more fulfilling career.
Career Experience
James has had his share of music experience. He has performed on stage for thousands, has worked in Nashville as a session musician, and has even performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. His passion, still, is for teaching.
